Ashani is a Psychology graduate with a deep passion for social justice and activism. She has been part of the Emerge team for almost 7 years and is committed to the organization’s mission to empower survivors of trauma. Ashani believes in providing young women with the tools, knowledge, and emotional support they need to thrive as they transition into the outside world. Having witnessed the hardships these young women face, she is dedicated to helping them find closure and build the skills they need to succeed. As an older sister figure to the survivors she works with, Ashani's passion for the cause has only grown stronger over the years. Joining Emerge has been one of the most empowering and rewarding decisions of her life. She finds herself continually inspired and learning from the resilience and strength of the girls she works with. She is proud to be part of the Emerge family and looks forward to the future of the organization, eager to continue making a meaningful difference.
